<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000400301&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000400301&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342025000400301&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Con el objetivo de describir la artropofauna asociada al cultivo del arándano y considerar su potencial vínculo con el aborto de yemas, se realizó un estudio de los taxones presentes, durante un ciclo fenológico del cultivo, en una huerta de arándanos, variedad Biloxi, en Los Reyes, Michoacán, México, durante octubre a febrero de 2022, se identificaron los taxones registrados y se valoró su vínculo potencial con el aborto de yemas. Se hallaron siete taxones diferentes de artrópodos, de ellos, se destaca la presencia Brevipalpus yothersi Baker (Acari: Tenuipalpidae) que esta reportado como vector de virus, así como la presencia de Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), por los daños que provoca desde la fase vegetativa. El análisis señaló que S. dorsalis es un taxón que se registra desde los primeros brotes vegetativos mientras que B. yothersi aumenta su nivel poblacional de manera importante cuando el cultivo entra en la fase fenológica de floración. Sobre la base de las características de ambas plagas, se considera que la presencia simultánea de S. dorsalis y B. yothersi pudieran ser la causa del problema fitosanitario observado en arándanos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In order to describe the arthropod fauna associated with blueberry crops and consider its potential link with bud abortion, a study of the taxa present during a phenological cycle of the crop was carried out in a blueberry orchard, Biloxi variety, in Los Reyes, Michoacán, Mexico, from October to February 2022; the recorded taxa were identified and their potential link with bud abortion was assessed. Seven different taxa of arthropods were found, of which the presence of the following stands out: Brevipalpus yothersi Baker (Acari: Tenuipalpidae), which is reported as a virus vector, and Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), due to the damage it causes from the vegetative phase. The analysis indicated that S. dorsalis is a taxon that is present from the first vegetative shoots, whereas B. yothersi increases its population level significantly when the crop enters the phenological phase of flowering. Based on the characteristics of both pests, it is considered that the simultaneous presence of S. dorsalis and B. yothersi could be the cause of the phytosanitary problem observed in blueberries.]]></p></abstract>
