<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342022000200355&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342022000200355&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342022000200355&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En el plano internacional, la producción nacional de aguacate en México durante la temporada de julio de 2019 a junio de 2020 alcanzó los 2.4 millones de toneladas, 6% más en comparación con el ciclo 2018 a 2019 del mismo periodo, respecto a las exportaciones fueron cercanas a 860 000 t, aportando así más de 45% del mercado mundial de las exportaciones. Michoacán es el principal estado productor de aguacate en México, con aproximadamente 26 740 productores registrados, aportando 74% de la producción nacional (2.4 millones de toneladas), seguido por los estados de Jalisco y México con 12 y 4%, respectivamente. Estimaciones recientes sobre exportaciones colocan al aguacate en el tercer lugar, solo detrás del jitomate y de la cerveza. Como propósito fundamental se tiene el analizar la competitividad del aguacate de México durante el periodo de 1995 a 2020 en el mercado mundial, derivado del excedente en la producción y de las exportaciones. Los materiales y métodos utilizados se basan en las cifras de producción, exportaciones e importaciones de aguacate consultadas en fuentes oficiales, y a través del cálculo de los indicadores de competitividad de comercio, específicamente los indicadores de balanza comercial relativa, indicador de transabilidad, coeficiente de dependencia comercial y el grado de apertura exportadora. Los resultados obtenidos reflejan que la producción de aguacate en México es competitiva en el plano internacional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract At the international level, the national production of avocado in Mexico during the season from July 2019 to June 2020 reached 2.4 million tonnes, 6% more compared to the 2018 to 2019 cycle of the same period, regarding exports, they were close to 860 thousand tonnes, thus contributing more than 45% of the world market of exports. Michoacán is the main avocado-producing state in Mexico, with approximately 26 740 registered producers, contributing 74% of the national production (2.4 million tonnes), followed by the states of Jalisco and Mexico with 12 and 4%, respectively. Recent export estimates place avocado in third place, only behind tomatoes and beer. The fundamental purpose is to analyze the competitiveness of Mexico&#8217;s avocado during the period from 1995 to 2020 in the world market, derived from the surplus in production and exports. The materials and methods used are based on the figures of production, exports and imports of avocado consulted in official sources, and through the calculation of trade competitiveness indicators, specifically the indicators of relative trade balance, tradability indicator, trade dependence coefficient and the degree of export openness. The results obtained reflect that avocado production in Mexico is competitive at the international level.]]></p></abstract>
