<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342022000200247&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342022000200247&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342022000200247&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El cultivo de aguacate (Persea americana Mill.) presenta diferentes problemas fitosanitarios que afectan su buen desarrollo y disminuyen la producción, uno de estos problemas es el barrenador de la rama (Copturus aguacatae), insecto que genera daños al barrenar la médula de la rama y en grandes infestaciones, causa aborto de flores y rompimiento de ramas, además está considerada como plaga de interés cuarentenario. Las poblaciones de este insecto y la importancia económica que representa, hacen importante implementar estudios que permitan conocer la distribución espacial del barrenador dentro de las huertas de aguacate, para de esta forma, aplicar medidas de control que sean eficaces. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la distribución espacial de Copturus aguacatae en el cultivo de aguacate utilizando la técnica del Spatial Analysis by Distance Indices. La estabilidad espacio temporal a corto plazo de la plaga se determinó con el índice de asociación de Spatial Analysis by Distance Indices, los resultados arrojaron que las poblaciones del barrenador de la rama se encuentran distribuidas de forma agregada dentro de las áreas de estudio en varios centros, con los mapas de densidad elaborados mediante la técnica del Krigeado se corroboró la distribución antes mencionada. No se logró determinar una estabilidad espacial y temporal de las poblaciones del insecto en todas las fechas de muestreo. Las infestaciones no se presentaron en 100% de la superficie de las parcelas de aguacate, lo cual resulta importante, ya que así se pueden dirigir las medidas de control sobre áreas específicas de infestación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Avocado presents different phytosanitary problems that affect its good development and decrease production, one of these problems is the branch borer (Copturus aguacatae), an insect that generates damage by boring the pith of the branch and, in large infestations, causes abortion of flowers and breaking of branches, it is also considered a pest of quarantine interest. The populations of this insect and the economic importance it represents makes it important to implement studies that allow knowing the spatial distribution of the borer within the avocado orchards, in order to apply control measures that are effective. The objective of this study was to analyze the spatial distribution of Copturus aguacatae in avocado using the technique of Spatial Analysis by Distance Indices. The short-term spatial-temporal stability of the pest was determined with the association index of Spatial Analysis by Distance Indices, the results showed that the populations of the branch borer are distributed in an aggregate way within the study areas in several centers, with the density maps elaborated using the Kriging technique, the aforementioned distribution was corroborated. It was not possible to determine a spatial and temporal stability of the insect populations at all sampling dates. Infestations did not occur on 100% of the area of the avocado plots, which is important since, in this way, control measures can be directed on specific areas of infestation.]]></p></abstract>
