<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342018000601149&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342018000601149&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342018000601149&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Phytopthora hydropathica es una especie con escasos reportes relacionados con su capacidad de infectar cultivos agrícolas de manera natural, por lo cual se puede inferir que no ha estado en contacto con agentes químicos; por ello, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar la patogenicidad y la sensibilidad a metalaxyl de 18 cepas de P. hydropathica provenientes de canales de irrigación en Culiacán, Sinaloa. La evaluación de patogenicidad de los aislados se realizó en hojas de calabacita y pepino y en frutos de calabacita, pepino y tomate. La resistencia a metalaxyl se evaluó in vitro en medio PDA adicionado con metalaxyl. Los aislados de P. hydropathica ocasionaron síntomas de necrosis y ablandamiento en frutos y síntomas de necrosis en hojas de las especies de plantas evaluadas; no se encontraron cepas resistentes, siete cepas presentaron sensibilidad intermedia y el resto fueron susceptibles a metalaxyl. La CE50 de los aislados fluctuó entre 0.000013 &#956;g L-1 a 1 &#956;g L-1. Se puede concluir que el uso de metalaxyl sería efectivo en el control de algún brote de enfermedad ocasionado por P. hydropathica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Phytopthora hydropathica is a species with few reports related to its ability to infect agricultural crops in a natural way, so it can be inferred that it has not been in contact with chemical agents; therefore, the objective of this study was to determine the pathogenicity and sensitivity to metalaxyl of 18 strains of P. hydropathica from irrigation canals in Culiacán, Sinaloa. The pathogenicity evaluation of the isolates was carried out on zucchini and cucumber leaves and on zucchini, cucumber and tomato fruits. Resistance to metalaxyl was evaluated in vitro in PDA medium added with metalaxyl. The isolates of P. hydropathica caused symptoms of necrosis and softening in fruits and symptoms of leaf necrosis of the evaluated plant species; no resistant strains were found, seven strains showed intermediate sensitivity and the rest were susceptible to metalaxyl. The CE50 of the isolates ranged from 0.000013 &#956;g L-1 to 1 &#956;g L-1. It can be concluded that the use of metalaxyl would be effective in controlling some disease outbreak caused by P. hydropathica.]]></p></abstract>
