<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342018000300615&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342018000300615&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342018000300615&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En este estudio se evaluaron 86 mestizos y 10 híbridos en cinco localidades del Centro de México en bloques completos al azar con dos repeticiones por sitio, considerando rendimiento de grano (REND), floraciones masculinas (DFM) y femeninas (DFF), alturas de planta (ALP) y mazorca (ALM), aspectos de planta (ASP) y mazorca (ASM), acames de tallo (PAT), raíz (PAR) y total (PACA), ahijamiento (PHI), pudrición de mazorca (PMP) y plantas cuatas (PPC). Hubo diferencias altamente significativas entre hembras y entre machos para casi todas las variables. La hembra uno presentó las medias más altas para la mayoría de las variables. La interacción machos x hembras fue altamente significativa para REND, DFF, ASM, PAT, PHI y PMP. Los machos con mayor rendimiento de grano y prolificidad 7, 38, 41, 35, 34, 33, 9, 24, 36, 30, 23, 32, 19, 10; de éstos 7 y 41 fueron los más tardíos. Todos los machos presentaron buen aspecto de planta y mazorca, así como acame y ahijamiento similares. El mayor porcentaje de pudrición de mazorca se presentó en 41, 30 y 27.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In this study, 86 mestizos and 10 hybrids were evaluated in five locations in Central Mexico in randomized complete blocks with two repetitions per site, considering grain yield (REND), male (DFM) and female (DFF) blooms, plant heights (ALP) and cob (ALM), aspects of plant (ASP) and cob (ASM), stem (PAT), root (PAR) and total (PACA), tillering (PHI), cob rot (PMP) and plants cuatas (PPC). There were highly significant differences between females and between males for almost all variables. The female one presented the highest means for most of the variables. The interaction males x females were highly significant for REND, DFF, ASM, PAT, PHI and PMP. Males with higher grain yield and prolificacy 7, 38, 41, 35, 34, 33, 9, 24, 36, 30, 23, 32, 19, 10; of these 7 and 41 were the latest. All the males showed good aspect of plant and cob as well as similar lodging and tillering. The highest percentage of cob rot appcobed in 41, 30 and 27.]]></p></abstract>
