<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-07052020000100022&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-07052020000100022&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-07052020000100022&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Introducción:  El objetivo del estudio fue validar un instrumento integrado por la escala de afecto positivo y afecto negativo (PANAS) elaborada por Watson, Clark y Tellegen (1988), así como la escala de compromiso organizacional (OCS) desarrollada por Meyer, Allen, y Smith (1993), para medir la relación entre los estados afectivos (EA) y el compromiso organizacional (CO) de profesores adscritos a instituciones de educación superior (IES) en el sureste de México.  Método:  Se realizó una investigación descriptiva con enfoque cuantitativo y diseño no experimental transversal, en la cual se seleccionó una muestra no probabilística de 140 profesores adscritos a una IES ubicada en el sureste de México. La fiabilidad del instrumento se verificó mediante el coeficiente alfa de Cronbach, la validación de contenido fue por juicio de expertos y la de constructo se realizó por medio de un análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE).  Resultados:  Los jueces que participaron en la verificación en el juicio de expertos consideraron que el instrumento cumple con los criterios de suficiencia, claridad, coherencia y relevancia. La fiabilidad obtenida para la escala PANAS fue de 0.76 y para la OCS de 0.83. En el AFE se identificó que los EA se agruparon en dos factores que explicaron el 43% de la varianza, mientras que para el CO se identificaron tres factores, los cuales explicaron el 49% de la varianza.  Conclusión:  Se confirmaron la consistencia interna y la validez del instrumento, tanto de contenido como de constructo, para medir la relación entre los EA y el CO en educación superior.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction:  The objective of the study was to validate an instrument composed of the positive and negative affect scale (PANAS) developed by Watson, Clark and Tellegen (1988), and the organizational commitment scale (OCS) developed by Meyer, Allen, and Smith (1993) to measure the relationship between affective states (EA) and organizational commitment (CO) of professors attached to higher education institutions (IES) in the Southeast of Mexico.  Method:  A descriptive investigation was carried out with a quantitative approach and a nonexperimental cross-sectional design, in which a non-probabilistic sample of 140 professors assigned to IES located in the southeast of Mexico, was selected. The instrument reliability was verified through Cronbach's alpha coefficient, content validation was through face validity and construct validation was carried out through an exploratory factor analysis (AFE).  Results:  The judges who participated in the face validity verification considered that the instrument meets sufficiency, clarity, coherence and relevance criteria. Reliability obtained for the PANAS scale was 0.76 and for the OCS was 0.83. In the AFE, it was identified that EA were grouped into two factors that explained 43% of the variance, while for CO three factors were identified, which explained 49% of the variance.  Conclusion:  Internal consistency and content and construct validity were confirmed for the proposed instrument to measure the relationship between EA and CO in higher education.]]></p></abstract>
