Método: El estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental descriptivo y fue realizado en una Universidad Pública Estatal en el Sureste de México en donde se seleccionaron 378 estudiantes de pregrado con más del 60% de créditos en su trayectoria escolar y que representaran todas las áreas del conocimiento. Se realizó un análisis factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio para determinar las propiedades psicométricas del instrumento.  Resultados: El modelo propuesto corroboró a través del análisis factorial confirmatorio los valores de los principales indicadores de ajuste (X 2 = 98.07, p=.001; CMIN/DF= 2.62; CFI=.95; GFI= .97, IFI= .95; RMSEA= .06; IC 90 [.03-.09]). Asimismo, los resultados señalan que el 39.85% percibe alguna limitante importante de tipo personal y el 37.9% de conocimiento.  Discusión o Conclusión: Los resultados permiten confirmar la sustentabilidad empírica para el modelo propuesto para medir las limitantes percibidas para la formación científica (LFC) en estudiantes de pregrado de todas las áreas del conocimiento, pues los datos presentados muestran evidencia de un modelo factorial sustentable, siendo las limitantes personales las que afectan en mayor medida a los estudiantes encuestados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction: The objective of this approach was to validate through a confirmatory factor analysis a measurement model to determine the perceived limitations to develop interest in scientific or technological activities in the undergraduate.  Method: The study had a quantitative approach with a non-experimental descriptive design and was carried out at a State Public University in Southeast Mexico where 378 undergraduate students with more than 60% of credits were selected in their school career and who represented all the areas of knowledge. An exploratory and confessional factor analysis was performed to determine the psychometric properties of the instrument  Results: The proposed model corroborated through the confirmatory factor analysis the values of the main adjustment indicators (X 2 = 98.07, p=.001; CMIN/DF= 2.62; CFI=.95; GFI= .97, IFI= .95; RMSEA= .06; IC 90 [.03-.09]). Likewise, the results indicate that 39.85% perceive some important limitation of personal type and 37.9% of knowledge  Discussion or Conclusion: The results allow to confirm the empirical sustainability for the proposed model to measure perceived limitations on scientific training (LFC) in undergraduates from all areas of knowledge, as the data presented show evidence of a sustainable factor model, being the limiting personal which largely affect the students surveyed.]]></p></abstract>
