La mecanización científica del universo no tuvo como objetivo que la naturaleza siguiera su propio curso, sino que fuese controlada mediante razones suficientes como si se tratara de una maquinaria. Si bien el daño al medio ambiente es casi tan antiguo como la aparición del homo sapiens, en este artículo se develará que haber elevado esa dinámica a nivel de sabiduría filosófica comportó no solo un proceso de reificación, sino también de ecorreificación del cosmos, con un tipo particular de interpretación de la naturaleza, donde sus elementos pasaron a ser tasados como meros recursos para la explotación humana. Las crisis que desencadenan las dinámicas y procesos de ecorreificación no son posibles de ser realmente superadas aplicando las mismas nociones y concepciones del modelo patriarcal de violencia y dominación. De ahí la necesidad de superar sus postulados teóricos y prácticos que, en vez de proteger y cuidar la vida, la dañan y denigran. En este contexto, se presentará el sentido y significado filosófico del ethos femenino como una respuesta y una salida a la violencia que padecen las mujeres, pero también a la que sufren muchos hombres; la agresión ejercida en general contra la naturaleza, es decir, contra el resto de los seres vivos y la biosfera en su conjunto, incluyendo cosmovisiones y culturas no occidentales que resisten ante esta mentalidad]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The mechanical vision that prevailed during Modernity went on to conceive of the body and, by extension, the universe as if it were an inert thing that could be explained in terms of matter and movement. The scientific mechanization of the universe was not aimed at nature following its own course, but that it be controlled through sufficient reason, as if it were a machine. While environmental damage is almost as old as the appearance of homo sapiens, this article reveals that elevating this dynamic to the level of philosophical wisdom not only involved a process of reification, but also one of eco-reification of the cosmos through a particular way of interpreting nature, where its elements are valued as mere resources for human exploitation. The crises that eco-reification dynamics and processes cause cannot really be overcome by applying the same notions and concepts of the patriarchal model of violence and domination. Hence the need to overcome their theoretical and practical postulates, which instead of protecting life damage it and denigrate it. In this context, the philosophical sense and meaning of the feminine ethos emerges as a response and a way out of the violence that women suffer, but which many men also suffer from: the aggression exercised against nature in general; that is, against all other living beings and the biosphere, including world views and non-western cultures that resist this mentality]]></p></abstract>
