La desarterialización hemorroidal transanal (THD) ha surgido como una técnica novedosa para el tratamiento de la enfermedad hemorroidal que puede resultar en un postoperatorio menos doloroso, con porcentajes de recidiva de la enfermedad similares.  Material y métodos:  Estudio retrospectivo, evaluamos 62 pacientes operados con esta técnica en el Servicio de Cirugía Colorrectal del Hospital Angeles León, con enfermedad hemorroidal grados II, III y IV; de 2014 a 2020. Se utilizó el dispositivo comercial (THD® Doppler).  Resultados:  El dolor postoperatorio fue evaluado a las 24 h y a la semana de la cirugía se siguió a los pacientes por 12 meses: tuvimos éxito en 96.77%, con una EVA promedio 2-3 (74%) a las 24 h y de 0-1(82%) a la semana.  Conclusión:  La desarterialización hemorroidal transanal es un procedimiento seguro y efectivo mínimamente invasivo para el tratamiento de la enfermedad hemorroidal.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  Introduction:  Postoperative pain is the principal adverse effect of classic hemorrhoidectomy. Transanal hemorrhoidal dearterialization has emerged as a new surgical technique for hemorrhoidal disease treatment, this technique can result in less postoperative pain, with recurrence no higher than classic hemorrhoidectomy.  Material and methods:  A retrospective study evaluating 62 patients operated with this technique in the Colorectal Department in Hospital Angeles León, with hemorrhoidal disease grades 2, 3, and 4; from 2014 to 2020. We used the commercial device (THD® Doppler).  Results:  Postoperative pain was evaluated 24 h and one week postop, we followed the patients for 12 months. With a success rate of 96.77% with a VAS of 2-3 (74%) at 24 h and 0-1 (82%) at one week.  Conclusion:  Transanal hemorrhoidal dearterialization is a safe and effective minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of hemorrhoidal disease.]]></p></abstract>
