Se han descrito más de 60 técnicas para la reconstrucción del complejo ligamentario coracoclavicular; sin embargo, no existe un acuerdo sobre una técnica ideal. El objetivo de este estudio es comparar el estado funcional postoperatorio y la eficacia de reducción de las tres técnicas más utilizadas para la reconstrucción acromioclavicular en nuestra institución (Bosworth modificada, sistema TightRope® acromioclavicular y placa gancho acromioclavicular). Se evaluaron 52 pacientes en un rango de edad de 19 a 52 años (promedio = 35.87) con el diagnóstico de luxación acromioclavicular Tossy-Rockwood tipo III operados con las técnicas mencionadas, con un seguimiento mínimo de seis meses evaluándose el estado funcional con el cuestionario DASH. El análisis estadístico se realizó utilizando la prueba de Kruskal-Wallis para comparar medias independientes en muestras pequeñas con una p = 0.033. Se realizó comprobación con la prueba U de Mann Whitney y Bonferron. Según nuestros resultados existe una diferencia funcional positiva significativa en el sistema TightRope® acromioclavicular en comparación con la placa gancho acromioclavicular (p = 0.013 IC = 95%) versus p = 0.127 de Bosworth modificada con la placa gancho acromioclavicular y p = 0.152 de Bosworth modificada con el sistema TightRope® acromioclavicular.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The acromioclavicular dislocation is a common injury and represents 12% of all shoulder injuries. There are more than 60 descriptive techniques for coracoclavicular ligament complex reconstruction but a preferred technique has not been established yet. The objective of this study is to compare the postoperative functional status of the patients and the efficacy of the reduction of the three most used techniques for acromioclavicular reconstruction in our Institution (Modified Bosworth technique, acromioclavicular TightRope® system and acromioclavicular hook plate). We have evaluated 52 patients in an age range between 19 and 52 years (mean = 35.87) with the diagnosis of type III acromioclavicular dislocation of the Tossy-Rockwood classification that received treatment with one of the techniques mentioned that received six month follow-up as minimum, and their functional status were evaluated with the DASH score. The statistical analysis was realized with the Kruskal-Wallis test for the comparison of independent means in small samples (p = 0.033) and then make the verification with the Mann Whitney and Bonferron comparison test. According to our results there is a functional positive difference for acromioclavicular TightRope® system (p = 0.013 IC = 95%) versus p = 0.127 of modified Bosworth with acromioclavicular hook plate and p = 0.152 of modified Bosworth with acromioclavicular TightRope® System.]]></p></abstract>
