Para su estudio consideraremos el caso de las relaciones sino-mexicanas. Partiendo de lo anterior, se explora la forma en que los viajeros de este país latinoamericano se enfrentaron a China: un país hasta hace poco tiempo cerrado, donde el gobierno de Deng&#8212;a través de los lugares visitados&#8212; buscaba transmitir a los turistas un mensaje destinado a formar una opinión pública en sus países de origen que fuera favorable a los nuevos intereses de China en el mundo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article reviews the role of the Grand Strategy in promoting the tourism industry in China and how public diplomacy has used this sector when relating to other countries since 1978, for what we will consider the case of Sino-Mexican relations. We explore how travelers from this Latin American country faced China: a country until recently closed, where the Deng government &#8212;through the places visited&#8212; proposed a message to tourists aimed at forming an opinion public in their countries of origin, which was favorable to China&#8217;s new interests in the world.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé Cet article passe en revue le rôle de la Grande Stratégie derrière la promotion de l&#8217;industrie du tourisme en Chine et la manière dont la diplomatie publique a utilisé ce secteur dans ses relations avec d&#8217;autres pays depuis 1978 ; pour ce que nous considérerons le cas des relations sino-mexicaines. Nous explorons la manière dont les voyageurs de ce pays d&#8217;Amérique latine se sont confrontés à la Chine : un pays jusqu&#8217;à récemment fermé, où le gouvernement Deng, à travers les lieux visités, proposait aux touristes un message visant à se forger une opinion public dans leur pays d&#8217;origine favorable aux nouveaux intérêts de la Chine dans le monde.]]></p></abstract>
