In this evaluation, statistical regression analysis is used to estimate the constant of Boyle’s law and its uncertainty. Also is used the ideal gas law, which was established much later, as a way to evaluate this uncertainty. This article may be useful to teachers and students as an example of using historical data in physics, and how statistical analysis can be applied to obtain information from these data.
</abstract>
