Resumen
Se presentan aspectos poco conocidos del matemático, banquero, socialista Olinde Rodrigues por su importancia en el descubrimiento de conocimientos físicos y matemáticos que han tenido un gran impacto en la historia de las matemáticas y la física. Se describe también la historia de la aplicación de sus ideas en México.

Abstract
We present the little–known facts on the life of the mathematician, banker, socialist Olinde Rodrigues for their importance in the discovery of physical and mathematical knowledge that have had a major impact on the history of mathematics and physics. Also describes the history of the implementation of his ideas in Mexico.
