Obtenemos las expresiones para la tangente del ángulo de Kerr en cada uno de los casos, polar y ecuatorial. Se muestra que el efecto magneto-óptico en el caso ecuatorial es dos órdenes de magnitud inferior al mismo efecto en el caso polar. Todo este tratamiento tiene validez para campos magnéticos aplicado inferiores a 10 T.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[In this work we review the deduction of Fresnell coefficient for the reflexion of polarized light over a magnetized medium. We obtained the expressions for the Kerr angle in both polar and equatorial case. It is shown that the effect polar magneto-optic effect is two order stronger than the equatorial. This treatment is only valid for magnetic field weaker than 10 T.]]></p></abstract>

Obtenemos las expresiones para la tangente del &aacute;ngulo de Kerr en cada uno de los casos, polar y ecuatorial. Se muestra que el efecto magneto&#150;&oacute;ptico  en el caso ecuatorial es dos &oacute;rdenes de magnitud inferior al mismo efecto en el caso polar.
