<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1870-34532020000100310&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1870-34532020000100310&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1870-34532020000100310&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La reserva de carbono en los manglares que bordean el sistema estuarino de San Blas-laguna Grande de Mexcaltita&#769;n, Nayarit, Me&#769;xico en el periodo de 1980-2015, definió 3 zonas ambientales con base en las diferentes presiones antro&#769;picas y cantidad de carbono almacenado en la biomasa arbo&#769;rea y en el suelo. Estas zonas muestran diferencias con respecto a los comportamientos en amplitud y tiempo de residencia del agua intersticial. La biomasa y carbono (ae&#769;reo y subterra&#769;neo), así como el secuestro de carbono en el suelo a 20 cm de profundidad se incrementó de la zona sur a la norte. Estos para&#769;metros indican valores bajos, comparados con reportes de diversos autores en manglares de tipo primario. Lo anterior, causado por la pe&#769;rdida de la estructura y funcio&#769;n del ecosistema, se define como bosques secundarios, con desplazamiento de Rhizophora mangle por Avicennia germinans y Laguncularia racemosa. Razo&#769;n por la cual es fundamental generar informacio&#769;n que permita confirmar el estado de conservacio&#769;n del ecosistema, considerando la capacidad de captura y secuestro de carbono, asi&#769; como su valor monetario y pe&#769;rdida. Se calcula, para esta investigación, un valor monetario por almace&#769;n de carbono arbo&#769;reo del manglar de $4,431,826.7 dólares americanos; con pérdidas de $132,414.3 dólares americanos en 1980-2015.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The carbon stock in mangroves that border the estuarine system of San Blas-Laguna Grande de Mexcaltita&#769;n, Nayarit, Mexico, during the period 1980-2015, defined 3 environmental zones considering different anthropic pressures and the amount of storage carbon in the arboreal biomass and in the soil. These zones show differences in the width and interstitial water residence time period. Biomass and carbon stock (aereal and underground), as well as the soil carbon storage at 20 cm depth, increased from the south to the northern zone. These parameters indicated low values compared to results from a number of authors in primary type mangroves. This was caused by the loss of structure and ecosystem functions, and it is considered now as a secondary mangrove forest, with displacement of Rhizophora mangle by Avicennia germinans and Laguncularia racemosa. This is the reason why is key to produce information that allow to confirm the ecosystem conservation status, considering the carbon capture and storage capacity, as well as its economic value and loss. This research obtained an arboreal carbon storage value of US$4,431,826.7; with losses for the period 1980-2015, of US$132,414.3.]]></p></abstract>
