En lesiones de gran tamaño es posible realizar una descompresión mediante la instalación de una cánula impresa en 3D, lo que facilita la posterior enucleación de la lesión quística.  Objetivo:  Presentar una alternativa en la descompresión para el tratamiento del queratoquiste odontogénico.  Presentación del caso:  Paciente femenina de 26 años, presenta aumento de volumen en la hemicara derecha a nivel de tercio medio e inferior facial de aproximadamente un año de evolución. Se realizaron estudios de imagen e histopatológicos cuyo diagnóstico fue queratoquiste odontogénico. El tratamiento consistió en realizar una descompresión de la lesión con la colocación de una cánula diseñada en el software Blender, la cual fue impresa en 3D con resina biocompatible BioMed Clear&#8482;. Luego se realizó la enucleación y curetaje de la lesión remanente, más la aplicación de 5-Fluoracilo como coadyuvante. En los estudios de control se puede observar neoformación ósea, sin datos de recidiva.  Conclusiones:  La cánula impresa en 3D es un dispositivo personalizado que ofrece exactitud y precisión en el tratamiento de la descompresión.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction: The odontogenic keratocyst is a developmental epithelial cyst that comes from the remains of the dental lamina, of relatively high prevalence and aggressive behavior. In large lesions, it is possible to decompress by installing a 3D-printed cannula, which facilitates the subsequent enucleation of the cystic lesion.  Objective: To present an alternative in decompression for the treatment of odontogenic keratocyst.  Case presentation: A 26-year-old female patient presented an increase in volume in the right hemiface at the level of the middle and lower facial third after approximately one year of evolution. Imaging and histopathological studies were performed, and the diagnosis was odontogenic keratocyst. The treatment consisted of decompressing the lesion with the placement of a cannula designed in the Blender software and 3D-printed with BioMed Clear&#8482; biocompatible resin. Then the enucleation and curettage of the remaining lesion were performed, plus the application of 5-fluorouracil as an adjuvant. In control studies, bone neoformation can be observed, with no data on recurrence.  Conclusions: The 3D-printed cannula is a customized device that offers accuracy and precision in the treatment of decompression.]]></p></abstract>
