El objetivo es analizar cómo influyen en el desempeño académico las actividades de aprendizaje individualizadas y los estados emocionales. La identificación de los estados emocionales se llevó a cabo mediante algoritmos basados en Inteligencia Artificial. Los resultados mostraron una importante relación entre estado-emocional y calificación. Se llegó a la conclusión de que la sorpresa y el miedo propician la obtención de buenas calificaciones: hay evidencia en relación con este hecho, de un incremento en la media de 6.8 a 9.7. Estos resultados se compararon con los de semestres anteriores sin el uso de este ambiente de aprendizaje.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This document contains the results of the development and the application of an intelligent adaptive e-Learning environment to university students from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. The objective is to analyze how the individualized learning activities and the emotional states influence in academic performance. The identification of emotional states was carried out by algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence. The results showed an important relationship between emotional state and grade, which refers to the fact that surprise and fear generate a tendency to obtain good grades, since an increase in the average from 6.8 to 9.7 was obtained. These results were compared with those of semesters above without the use of this learning environment.]]></p></abstract>
