La reducción de costos en las instituciones y la disminución del personal contribuyen a generar condiciones laborales desfavorables.  Objetivo:  Identificar factores de riesgo psicosociales que influyen en el ausentismo laboral no programado del personal de enfermería, en un centro de segundo nivel de atención en Chihuahua, México.  Métodos:  Estudio descriptivo, muestra de 221 enfermeras. Se aplicó Instrumento para Identificar Factores de Riesgo Psicosocial y Evaluar el Entorno Organizacional en los Centros de Trabajo, así como una sección de características sociodemográficas y laborales. Se evalúo asociación estadística con análisis multivariado.  Resultados:  El ausentismo representó 61.1%. Se identificó una asociación estadística entre el ausentismo y el ambiente de trabajo con nivel de riesgo muy alto y alto (X2 de 4.03 y 4.72), confirmada con el modelo de regresión logística en el nivel de riesgo Muy Alto coeficiente &#946; = 5.32.  Discusión:  La categoría Ambiente de trabajo fue la más relevante en este contexto, resultado similar a otros estudios que han mostrado la influencia de las condiciones de trabajo y del clima organizacional en el ausentismo del personal de enfermería.  Conclusión:  Las condiciones de trabajo estresantes consideradas en la Categoría de Ambiente de trabajo tienen consecuencias en el bienestar de los trabajadores, sería necesario realizar otras investigaciones en profesionales de salud, de acuerdo al instrumento de la STPS utilizado, para implementar estrategias de prevención en la salud mental del trabajador.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction:  Non-programmed absenteeism is related to deficient working conditions, work psychosocial risks, lack of satisfaction, and other biological, physical, and psychological risks. The reduction of costs in the institutions and the reduction of staff both contribute to having unfavoral working conditions.  Objective:  To identify psychosocial risk factors which influence the non-programmed work absenteeism among nursing personnel in a second level of attention center in the city of Chihuahua, Mexico.  Methods:  This is a descriptive study with a sample of 221 nurses. An instrument named Instrument to Identify Psychosocial Risk Factors and Assess the Organizational Environment in the Work Centers including a section on social, demographic, and labor-related characteristics was used. A statistical association was assessed using multivarieted analysis.  Results:  Absenteeism represented 61.1%. A statistical association was identified between absenteeism and a labor environment with high and very high risks (X2 4.03 and 4.72), which was confirmed by the logistic regression model in the very high risk level (&#946; = 5.32).  Discussion:  The category Work Environment was the most relevant in this context, a finding which is similar to other studies showing the influence of the working conditions and organizational environment on the level of absenteeism among the nursing staff.  Conclusion:  Stressful working conditions have negative impacts on the wellbeing of the workers. Further research needs to be conducted on the healthcare personnel in order to help implement prevention strategies to support the mental health of the worker.]]></p></abstract>

A redução de custos nas instituições e a diminuição de pessoal contribuem a gerar condições laborais desfavoráveis.  Objetivo:  Identificar fatores de risco psicossociais que influenciam o absenteísmo laboral não programado do pessoal de enfermagem, em um centro de segundo nível de atenção em Chihuahua, México.  Métodos:  Estudo descritivo, amostra de 221 enfermeiras. Foi aplicado um Instrumento para Identificar Fatores de Risco Psicossocial e Avaliação do Entorno Organizacional nos Centros de Trabalho, bem como uma seção de caraterísticas sociodemográficas e laborais. A associação estatística foi avaliada com análise multivariada.  Resultados:  O absenteísmo representou 61.1%. Foi identificada uma associação estatística entre o absenteísmo e o ambiente de trabalho com nível de risco muito alto e alto (X2 de 4.03 y 4.72), confirmada com o modelo de regressão logística no nível de risco Muito Alto coeficiente &#946; = 5.32.  Discussão: A categoria Ambiente de trabalho foi a mais relevante neste contexto, resultado semelhante a outros estudos que mostraram a influência das condições de trabalho e do clima organizacional no absenteísmo do pessoal de enfermagem.  Conclusão:  As condições estressantes de trabalho consideradas na Categoria de Ambiente de trabalho têm consequências no bem-estar dos trabalhadores, seria necessário realizar outras pesquisas em profissionais de saúde, conforme o instrumento da STPS utilizado, para implementar estratégias de prevenção na saúde mental do trabalhador.]]></p></abstract>
