La síntesis de la fase inorgánica se llevó a cabo por el método solgel vía alcóxidos y polimerización de la fase orgánica vía radicales libre. De acuerdo a las metas, se obtuvo un recubrimiento transparente y continuo, que forma una barrera química y física contra el ambiente corrosivo. Para la caracterización de este recubrimiento y su evaluación se utilizaron técnicas Electroquímicas y Microscopía electrónica de barrido.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[In this work has proposed the synthesis and characterization of hybrid ceramic thin films produced by the base of polymethilmetacrylate (PMMA) and zirconium oxide (ZrO2), and titanium oxide (TiO2) for applications to corrosion protection. The synthesis of the inorganic phase was carried out by the alcoxide solgel method and polymerization of the organic phase was made by free radicals. According to the goals, a transparent and continuous film was obtained, which improved a chemical and physics barrier against the corrosive environment. For the characterization of this thin film and their evaluation the electrochemical techniques and Scanning Electron Microscopy were used.]]></p></abstract>

<body><![CDATA[<p align="justify"><font face="verdana" size="2"><b>Resumen</b></font></p>     <p align="justify"><font face="verdana" size="2">En este trabajo se han propuesto la s&iacute;ntesis y la caracterizaci&oacute;n de pel&iacute;culas cer&aacute;micas delgadas h&iacute;bridas a base de polimetilmetacrilato (PMMA) con &oacute;xido de titanio (TiO<sub>2</sub>), y pel&iacute;culas cer&aacute;micas a base de &oacute;xido de zirconio (ZrO<sub>2</sub>) resistentes a la corrosi&oacute;n. La s&iacute;ntesis de la fase inorg&aacute;nica se llev&oacute; a cabo por el m&eacute;todo solgel v&iacute;a alc&oacute;xidos y polimerizaci&oacute;n de la fase org&aacute;nica v&iacute;a radicales libre. De acuerdo a las metas, se obtuvo un recubrimiento transparente y continuo, que forma una barrera qu&iacute;mica y f&iacute;sica contra el ambiente corrosivo.
