Así también, se estudia el uso del óxido de trioctil fosfina (TOPO) como surfactante, con el objeto de modificar la morfología y tamaño de partícula. Los materiales obtenidos fueron caracterizados por difracción de rayos X (DRX), espectroscopía de infrarrojo (IR), microscopía electrónica de barrido (MEB) y resonancia paramagnética electrónica (RPE). Las muestras fueron refinadas por el método Rietveld en estructura ortorrómbica y grupo espacial pnma, resultando una sola fase con la estequiometría propuesta. Al utilizar TOPO, se obtuvieron partículas con morfología acicular y tamaño sub-micrométrico. En cuanto al estudio realizado por EPR de Eu0.05Ca0.95MnO3 los espectros mostraron estados de valencia mixta de los manganesos, Mn3+ and Mn4+ demostrando así, que los cationes divalentes fueron sustituidos por los cationes trivalentes del europio.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The synthesis and characterization of Eu0.05Ca0.95MnO3, obtained by the chemical coprecipitation method are presented. In order to modify the morphology and particle size, the use of triocty1 phosphine oxide (TOPO) as surfactant was also studied. The resulting materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (IR), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The samples were refined by Rietveld method on orthorhombic structure and pnma spatial group, resulting in a single phase with the proposed stoichiometry composition. Particles with acicular morphology and sub-micrometric size were obtained when TOPO was utilized. As for the EPR analysis of Eu xCa1-xMnO3 showed mixed values states of Mn3+and Mn4+ cations, demonstrating that divalent alkaline cation substitution by rare earth ion was carried out.]]></p></abstract>
