Estos materiales compositos fueron utilizados para preparar películas en celdas de vidrio. Las películas presentan un índice de refracción no lineal, cuyos cambios fueron estudiados mediante la técnica de barrido en Z. La capacidad de estas películas para actuar como filtros no lineales de contraste de fase es demostrada experimentalmente.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[In this work we present the synthesis of SiO2 sol-gel hybrid materials doped with azo-dye methyl red, liquid crystal 4'-n-pentyl-4-cyanobiphenyl and surfactant Triton X-100. The composite materials were used to prepare silica films into the sandwich glass-cell. Nonlinear refraction index changes on these films were studied with the Z-scan technique. The ability of these films to act as a nonlinear phase contrast filter is demonstrated experimentally.]]></p></abstract>
