En esta investigación se diseñó una aplicación para dispositivos smartphones con el objetivo de apoyar el aprendizaje de la Estadística Inferencial en una muestra de estudiantes de las carreras de Psicología y Trabajo Social en una universidad chilena. Las funciones de la aplicación incluyen una trivia, un glosario, un modo de asesoría para decidir por cuál prueba de hipótesis aplicar y una guía tutorial para ejecutar procedimientos estadísticos en SPSS. Los resultados develan que los estudiantes legitiman el uso de la aplicación móvil como material de estudio, constatándose altas calificaciones, tanto en la evaluación global de la aplicación como en la valoración de cada función.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Teaching Statistics in university courses has presented major challenges in the disciplines of Social Sciences. In this research an application for smartphones devices was designed with the aim of supporting the learning of the Inferential Statistic in a sample of psychology and social work students. The functions of this application include a knowledge test, a glossary, an advisory mode to decide which hypothesis test to apply and a tutorial guide to execute statistical procedures in SPSS. The results reveal that the students legitimize the use of the mobile application as study material, observing high qualifications, both in the global evaluation of the application and in the evaluation of the characteristics of each function.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O ensino de Estatística em cursos universitários tem apresentado maiores desafios nas disciplinas de Ciências Sociais. Nesta pesquisa um aplicativo para dispositivos de smartphones foi projetado com o objetivo de apoiar a aprendizagem de Estatística Inferencial em uma amostra de estudantes de Psicologia e Serviço Social em uma universidade chilena. As funções do aplicativo incluem um test, um glossário, um modo consultivo para decidir qual teste de hipótese aplicar e um guia tutorial para executar procedimentos estatísticos no SPSS. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé L&#8217;enseignement de la statistique dans les cours universitaires a présenté de plus grands défis dans les disciplines des sciences sociales. Dans cette recherche, une application pour smartphones a été conçue dans le but de soutenir l&#8217;apprentissage de la statistique inférentielle chez un échantillon d&#8217;étudiants en psychologie et en travail social dans une université chilienne. Les fonctions de l&#8217;application incluent un questionnaire, un glossaire, un mode conseil pour décider du test d&#8217;hypothèse à appliquer et un guide pédagogique pour l&#8217;exécution de procédures statistiques dans SPSS. Les résultats révèlent que les étudiants légitiment l&#8217;utilisation de l&#8217;application mobile en tant que matériel d&#8217;étude, confirmant ainsi les notes élevées, à la fois dans l&#8217;évaluation globale de l&#8217;application et dans l&#8217;évaluation de chaque fonction.]]></p></abstract>
