En el estado de Tabasco, la diversidad fúngica ha sido poco estudiada en este ecosistema. El objetivo fue caracterizar la diversidad fúngica asociada a patologías de T. cacao en el estado de Tabasco, México. Se obtuvieron 48 aislamientos los cuales se identificaron mediante morfología y análisis de la región ITS; para el pseudohongo Phytophthora sp. se amplificó el gen 18S. Además, se analizó la diversidad y la abundancia. Se identificaron siete especies que incluyeron a Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Moniliophthora roreri, Ceratocystis cacaofunesta, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Fusarium descemcellulare, Cophinforma atrovirens y Phytophthora capsici. Este número de especies resultó en un DMg = 1.55 y un H&#8217; = 1.6. La especie más abundante fue C. gloeosporioides (43.7 %), seguida de M. roreri (18.7 %) y P. capsici (14.6 %). Colletotrichum gloeosporioides y M. roreri mostraron una frecuencia de constancia (FC) del 90 %; la especie P. capsici mostró una FC del 60 %. A nivel de subregiones, las especies M. roreri, C. gloeosporioides, F. descemcellulare mostraron un FC del 100 %. Estos resultados tienen implicaciones importantes para la biodiversidad de la región y para la producción de cacao en el estado de Tabasco.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In Mexico, Theobroma cacao plantations form a wooded agroecosystem that contributes to biodiversity conservation. In the state of Tabasco, fungal diversity has been little studied in this ecosystem. The objective of this study was to characterize the fungal diversity associated with T. cacao pathologies in the state of Tabasco, Mexico. A total of 48 isolates were obtained and identified through morphology and analysis of the ITS region; for the pseudofungi Phytophthora sp., the 18S gene was amplified. In addition, diversity and abundance were analyzed. Seven species were identified, including Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Moniliophthora roreri, Ceratocystis cacaofunesta, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Fusarium descemcellulare, Cophinforma atrovirens and Phytophthora capsici.
