El discurso se encarga de establecer los lineamientos históricos e ideológicos que fundamentan la creación, implementación y consumo de los diagramas. Sin embargo, este discurso dista de la anhelada homogeneidad teórica y conceptual; en realidad, se encuentra lleno de tensiones y disputas por la preeminencia discursiva en la que diferentes posturas, con sus respectivos seguidores y promotores, defienden concepciones específicas sobre lo ético, lo estético, la práctica comunicativa y el tratamiento de la información, entre otros aspectos. Este artículo se propone describir y poner en contexto tres de estas posturas para tratar de comprender las tensiones existentes y las afectaciones que generan en los productos diagramáticos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The informative diagrams as cultural objects are related to a specific discursive production; this discourse confers consistence to the social field that creates the diagrams. In detail, the discourse establishes the historical and ideological guidelines that support the creation, implementation and use of diagrams as an actual object. But the informative diagrams discourse is far from the desired theoretical and conceptual homogeneity, indeed, it is full of tensions and disputes about hegemony into the discursive field. In fact, different positions, with its respective followers and promoters, defend specific conceptions about ethics, esthetics, communication practice, information management, among others aspects. This article describes and contextualizes three positions with the aim to understand some discursive tensions and the impacts of these tensions into the diagrammatic representations.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé : Les diagrammes informatifs, de même que les objets de la culture, sont liés à une production discursive spécifique, chargée de donner une consistance au champ social qui les crée. Le discours établit les normes historiques et idéologiques qui soutiennent la création, la mise en place et l&#8217;utilisation de diagrammes. Néanmoins, ce discours est loin de l&#8217;homogénéité théorique et conceptuelle souhaitée ; en réalité, il est rempli de tensions et disputes concernant la prééminence discursive où différentes postures, chacune avec son lot de promoteurs et de disciples, défendent des conceptions spécifiques concernant entre autres les aspects éthique, esthétique, la pratique communicative et le traitement de l&#8217;information. Cet article propose de décrire et de mettre en contexte trois de ces postures afin d&#8217;essayer de comprendre les tensions qui existent et les affectations qu&#8217;elles génèrent sur les produits diagrammatiques.]]></p></abstract>
