<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1665-109X2022000200206&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1665-109X2022000200206&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1665-109X2022000200206&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Con base en el análisis de los climas motivacionales desde la perspectiva del modelo de Duda y colaboradores (2018), el objetivo de este trabajo fue conocer si la motivación autónoma y controlada de los atletas puede estar influenciada por el clima motivacional (empowering y disempowering) generado por el entrenador a través de las necesidades psicológicas básicas (satisfechas y frustradas). La muestra estuvo compuesta por 542 jóvenes deportistas de 11 a 16 años (M = 14.07, DT = 1.28). Los resultados confirman que el clima empowering se relaciona positiva y significativamente con la satisfacción de cada una de las necesidades psicológicas básicas y estas, a su vez, se relacionan positiva y significativamente con la motivación autónoma; además, se confirmó el efecto mediador de las tres necesidades psicológicas básicas: autonomía, competencia y relación. Por su parte, el clima disempowering relaciona positiva y significativamente con la frustración de cada una de las necesidades psicológicas básicas y estas, a su vez, se vinculan positiva y significativamente con la motivación controlada; solo se confirmó el efecto mediador de la frustración de la necesidad de competencia y relación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Analyzing motivational climates from the perspective of the Duda et al. (2018) model, the main objective of this work was to know if the autonomous and controlled motivation of athletes can be influenced by the motivational climate (empowering and disempowering) generated by the coach, through the three basic psychological needs (satisfied and thwarted). The sample consisted of 542 young athletes aged 11 to 16 years (M = 14.07, SD = 1.28). The results confirm that the empowering climate is positively and significantly related to the satisfaction of each of the basic psychological needs, and these in turn are positively and significantly related to autonomous motivation, and the mediating effect of the three basic psychological needs was also confirmed. On the other hand, disempowering climate is positively and significantly related to the frustration of each of the basic psychological needs, and these, in turn, are positively and significantly related to controlled motivation; only the mediating effect of the frustration of the need for competence and relatedness was confirmed.]]></p></abstract>
