La investigación, de corte cualitativo, usó el método interpretativo básico, así como la entrevista semiestructurada como técnica. Los hallazgos se centran en tres tipos de aprendizajes: sobre las características de la tercera edad; las formas de relacionarse con los adultos mayores; y aquellos obtenidos al desempeñar un rol habitualmente desconocido: el de maestro. El análisis de los datos se realizó bajo la lupa del interaccionismo simbólico para reportar el significado que tuvo para los alumnos participar en esta experiencia, descrita como agradable y enriquecedora para los participantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The Compuabuelitos project had the objective of analyzing an intergenerational experience where teenagers taught seniors how to use information and communication technologies. The students aimed to apply the Pierre Faure&#8217;s pedagogy in their teaching, experienced by them in their own academic life. Here, the respect to the person&#8217;s rhythm and characteristics is emphasized. The research component was developed on a qualitative way, used the Basic Interpretative Method and benefited from semi structured interviews. The main findings are that adolescents participating in the project had three types of learnings: about the characteristics of third age persons; about the ways to relate with them, and about their role as learning facilitators. Data analysis used Symbolic Interactionism in order to interpret the meaning the experience had for the students, described as enjoyable and enrichening by the participants.]]></p></abstract>
