El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar la aplicación del cuestionario de metas de logro en estudiantes de la mención de Educación Física de la Universidad de Granada, y comparar con variables deportivas, académicas y de itinerario profesional, utilizando para ello a 140 estudiantes de la especialidad antes mencionada de dos centros universitarios. Los resultados mostraron que los estudiantes se decantan principalmente por la maestría frente al rendimiento, con valores similares entre aproximación y evitación. No se detectaron asociaciones entre la escala y el resto de variables analizadas, por lo que podría considerarse que las tendencias motivacionales van por dos líneas diferenciadoras. Estos hallazgos ponen de manifiesto lo imprescindible de replantearse estrategias motivacionales en aras de reconducir a aquel alumnado proclive a la evitación, para fomentar en la medida de lo posible el compromiso y adherencia de estos estudiantes hacia el proceso de aprendizaje de la materia de Educación Física.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Several studies have highlighted the applicability of approach and avoidance constructs in achievement goals as people aim to either prove their competencies or avoid doing so. This is even more apparent in higher education. The aim of this paper is to determine the implementation of a questionnaire on achievement goals for students with a specialization in Physical Education at the Universidad de Granada, and compare the results with sporting, academic and professional variables, using 140 students from the aforementioned specialization in two universities. The results showed that the students opt for mastery rather than performance, with similar values found between approach and avoidance. No links were found between the scale and the rest of the variables analyzed, and therefore it may be considered that motivational trends follow two differentiating paths. These findings highlight the need to rethink motivational strategies in order to redirect avoidance-prone students and encourage, insofar as is possible, students' commitment and adherence to the learning process in physical education.]]></p></abstract>
