Sus funciones son esenciales para una sociedad y sus efectos pueden ser determinantes para el progreso de la misma. Prueba de ello es la sentencia United States v. Paramount, Inc. de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de Estados Unidos de 1948, la cual encontró prácticas antimonopólicas en la industria cinematográfica durante la Época de Oro de Hollywood. Desde mi punto de vista, esta decisión provocó una revolución jurídica, artística y cultural. Sin embargo, en 2022, los Acuerdos de Paramount derivados de la sentencia fueron revocados. ¿Cuáles serán las secuelas jurídicas y culturales de esta decisión?]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Both law and art, particularly film, have a reciprocal relationship within the domain of culture and are, from my personal standpoint, equally important. Their functions are essential to a society and their effects can be decisive for its progress. Proof of this is the 1948 United States v. Paramount, Inc. decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, which found antitrust violations in the motion picture industry during Hollywood's Golden Age. From my point of view, this decision caused a legal, artistic, and cultural revolution. However, in 2022, the resulting Paramount Consent Decrees were terminated. What will be the legal and cultural aftermath of this decision?]]></p></abstract>
