Desde esta hipótesis, el objetivo del artículo es una revisión bibliográfica de tales propuestas, para reunir saberes y experiencias internacionales, a fin de avanzar hacia un planteo integral del problema y la gestión de soluciones en América Latina. El enfoque metodológico es cualitativo y se basa en la técnica del análisis documental, recurriendo a referencias representativas de diversas disciplinas, contextos geográficos y escalas de ciudades.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The perspectives that associate urban development and transport bring together theories, practices and methods based on that joint approach; furthermore, they argue that urban growth models affect the efficiency of public transport. From this hypothesis, the objective of this article is to conduct a literature review of such proposals in order to gather international knowledge and experiences towards a comprehensive approach to the problem and the management of solutions in Latin America. The methodological approach is qualitative and based on the technique of documental analysis through using representative references from several disciplines, geographical contexts and cities scales.]]></p></abstract>
