El análisis estadístico de los datos observados en este estudio indicó que no siguen una distribución de probabilidad normal. En esta dirección, la alternativa para construir, analizar y comparar los índices de desempeño se realiza mediante los métodos de pruebas de bondad de ajuste, transformación de Box-Cox, transformación de Johnson y el método de Clements. Estos resultados nos permitirán evaluar la eficiencia de los métodos. Por otro lado, la información se obtiene a partir de los periodos antes y después de implementar un rodillo especial en la máquina de división, con la finalidad de reducir la variación en los rollos de EVA en tres espesores diferentes, siendo un caso de aplicación original en la literatura sobre procesos de manufactura. Los resultados presentados en este trabajo, nos han permitido plantear nuevos proyectos de investigación en la construcción de índices de capacidad del proceso a partir de la distribución para la mediana, dado que los datos tienen un coeficiente de curtosis grande, así como una distribución que contemple el sesgo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents a statistical methodology to analyze the performance in an EVA roll division process. Statistical analysis of the data observed in this study indicated that they do not follow a normal probability distribution. In this direction, the alternative to build, analyze and compare the performance indices is carried out using the goodness-of-fit test methods, Box-Cox transformation, Johnson transformation and the Clements method. These results will allow us to evaluate the efficiency of the methods. On the other hand, the information is obtained from the periods before and after implementing a special roller in the dividing machine, to reduce the variation in EVA rolls in three different thicknesses, being an original application case. In the literature on manufacturing processes.
