Las variables de diseño del casco que se evalúan mediante un estudio paramétrico son: distancia entre columnas (L), ancho (B) y altura (H) de las columnas, ancho (BP), altura (HP) de los pontones y calado (D). Así, en el estudio paramétrico desarrollado se analizan 2916 modelos considerando tres diferentes volúmenes de producción (100, 150 y 200 MBD), para los cuales se calculan los operadores de amplitud de respuesta con el módulo HydroD del programa de computadora SESAM. Los resultados muestran que el calado (D) tiene una alta influencia en la amplitud de la respuesta de movimientos de la plataforma, mientras que el ancho de la columna (B) presenta un efecto importante en el periodo natural del sistema. Adicionalmente, se obtuvieron las respuestas máximas más probables para diferentes estados de mar asociados a un contorno ambiental con un periodo de retorno de 100 años, donde se observa que efectivamente las variables consideradas tienen un efecto importante en la respuesta hidrodinámica de plataformas semisumergibles.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This research shows the effect of the design variables of the hull geometry of a production semisubmersible platforms on their hydrodynamic response. Hull design variables that are evaluated in this parametric study include: distance between columns (L), column width (B), column height (H), pontoon width (BP), pontoon height (HP), and draft (D). Thus, in this parametric study, 2916 models are analyzed considering three different production volumes (100, 150 and 200 MBD), for each one the amplitude response operators are calculated with the HydroD module of the SESAM computer program. The results show that the draft (D) has a high influence on the amplitude of the semisubmersible response, while the column width (B) has a high effect on the natural period of the system. Additionally, the most probable maximum responses were calculated for different sea states associated with an environmental contour with a return period of 100 years, where it is observed that indeed the variables considered have an important effect on the hydrodynamic response of semisubmersible platforms.]]></p></abstract>
