<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1405-77432021000100005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1405-77432021000100005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1405-77432021000100005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En México, el tránsito pesado con exceso de carga es el principal responsable del deterioro de los pavimentos, ha influenciado el consumo y explotación de los recursos naturales, y por ende, la rehabilitación de las carreteras y el uso del Reciclado de Pavimento Asfáltico (conocido por sus siglas en inglés RAP, Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement), el cual se ha presentado como una técnica para reducir lo antes mencionado y consiste en fresar el material de un pavimento flexible durante la rehabilitación de este. El objetivo del presente trabajo es reutilizar dicho RAP implementando el uso máquina de Desgaste de Los Ángeles para recuperar el agregado fino, empleándolo en un pavimento rígido. Mediante los ensayes de resistencia a la compresión y tensión diametral se evaluaron diferentes mezclas: RAP en Condición Recuperado Lavado, LAV, y RAP en Condición Recuperado Sin Lavar, SL. Así mismo se evaluó una Mezcla de Control, MC, y el RAP en Condición Original, CO. Los agregados de las diferentes mezclas fueron cribados por el tamiz Núm. 8 para posteriormente hacer cilindros de concretos de 10 x 20 cm. Mediante los ensayos de resistencia a la compresión y tensión indirecta se evaluó el desempeño de los materiales en conjunto, no solamente dando el uso de estos agregados RAP, sino mostrando el trabajo de manera similar a los agregados vírgenes de arena. Los resultados indican un incremento de 3.97 % a compresión y un 7.3 % a la tensión indirecta con el material LAV.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In Mexico, heavy traffic with excess loads is the main cause of pavement deterioration, which has influenced the consumption and exploitation of natural resources, and therefore road rehabilitation. The use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) has been presented as a technique to reduce the aforementioned, which consists of milling the material of a flexible pavement during its rehabilitation. The objective of this work is to reuse this RAP by implementing the use of the Los Angeles Wearing Machine to recover fine aggregate using it in a rigid pavement. The pavement is designed to be used for the rehabilitation of a flexible pavement, using the Los Angeles Wearing Machine to recover the fine aggregate for use in a rigid pavement. The aggregates of the different mixtures were sieved by the No. 8 sieve to make 10 x 20 cm concrete cylinders. The performance of the materials as a whole was evaluated by means of compression and indirect tensile tests, not only using these RAP aggregates, but also working in a similar way as the virgin sand aggregates. The results indicate an increase of 3.97 % in compression and 7.3 % in indirect tensile with the LAV material.]]></p></abstract>
