Se empleó una metodología cualitativa, con un nivel de alcance descriptivo. Se aplicaron entrevistas semidirigidas a docentes que desarrollan sus prácticas pedagógicas en universidades situadas en territorio mapuche. La información se analizó desde la perspectiva de la teoría fundamentada y se complementó con el análisis de contenido. Los principales resultados identifican la necesidad de formación continua y sensibilización intercultural de formadoras(es) de nuevas(os) profesionales. Concluimos que la formación profesional en perspectiva intercultural implica que las prácticas pedagógicas de las y los docentes consideren las demandas y finalidades educativas indígenas en la enseñanza, incorporando sus visiones de mundo, para ofrecer una formación con pertinencia sociocultural y territorial en las distintas disciplinas que se enseñan.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents the results of research on university teaching in a Mapuche context, at a conventional university in La Araucanía, Chile. Qualitative methodology with a descriptive scope was employed. Semi-structured interviews were held with teachers who work at universities in Mapuche territory. The information was analyzed from the perspective of grounded theory, supplemented by content analysis. The main results identify the need for ongoing training and intercultural awareness of teachers who work with new professionals. We conclude that professional training from an intercultural perspective implies that teachers' practices should consider Indigenous demands and objectives in teaching, by incorporating their world visions to offer training with sociocultural and territorial relevance in various disciplines.]]></p></abstract>
