Su objetivo es constatar el valor del modelo de formación de docentes en competencias y su incidencia en la capacitación de estudiantes en las competencias clave. Se ha efectuado un estudio de caso, mediante narrativas de docentes y diálogos, sobre sus actuaciones, observación y valoración de prácticas formativas desempeñadas en las aulas y en un grupo de discusión. Los datos cualitativos obtenidos han sido sometidos a procesos de triangulación y discusión de expertos para profundizar en la comprensión del contenido. Los resultados evidencian el valor que tienen las competencias en la mejora del desarrollo profesional docente y la potencialidad formativa de las competencias clave para el estudiantado de bachillerato.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This research focuses on the professional development of high school teachers as students are transitioning to universities. The objective is to determine the value of competency-based education and its influence on educating students in key competencies. A case study was carried out through teacher narratives and dialogues concerning their actions, observations, and evaluation of educational practices in the classroom and in a discussion group. The qualitative data were submitted to processes of expert discussion and triangulation to attain greater understanding of content. The results show the value of competencies in improving the professional development of teachers and the educational potential of key competencies for high school students.]]></p></abstract>
