Este trabajo plantea conocer si una de estas opciones de formación contribuye a la construcción de la representación social sobre este fenómeno en 51 jóvenes universitarios. Mediante un cuestionario se indagó acerca de su concepción del cambio climático, las afectaciones derivadas del mismo y las acciones que efectúan como respuesta. Los resultados indican que la representación social sobre el cambio climático está vinculada al incremento de la temperatura y se asocia a la radiación solar; no existe un nivel complejo de conceptualización sobre las acciones que realizan ante sus efectos ni acciones colectivas que aporten a la mitigación y la adaptación del cambio climático.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Actions in higher education to contribute to the mitigation of climate change have included elective courses to address the phenomenon. This article focuses on determining if any one of these educational options contributes to the construction of a social representation of the phenomenon among 51 university students. A questionnaire was used to inquire about the students' conception of climate change, the effects of climate change, and the actions they carry out in response. The results indicate that the students' social representation of climate change is linked to temperature increases and associated with solar radiation; they have no complex level of conceptualization of their actions as related to the effects of climate change, nor to collective actions that may contribute to mitigating and adapting to climate change.]]></p></abstract>
