Se exponen dos esquemas. El primero es denominado GAME, utiliza criterios establecidos previamente por el usuario y se definen con base en su experiencia, sin embargo frecuentemente origina inconsistencias. El segundo esquema, se basa en un Analizador Semántico, el cual obtiene automáticamente los criterios para manipular los operadores de generalización. Esto se realiza analizando las características Topológicas, Lógicas y Funcionales de los datos espaciales. Además, considera la interacción de objetos de la misma temática, que por su representación se almacenan en diferentes capas y toma en cuenta las posibles relaciones con otras temáticas. Este esquema se propone como base para lograr una solución universal (hasta cierto punto) para determinados casos de estudio, realizando modificaciones consistentes y eficientes. Adicionalmente, se presenta un análisis comparativo de los resultados obtenidos con ambos esquemas.]]></p></abstract>

Two schemas are presented. The first one is denominated GAME, and it is based on the user experience to define criteria. Its schema frequently generates inconsistencies. Second schema is based on Semantic Analyzer, which automatically obtain the criteria to manipulate the generalization operators. It is obtained by analyzing the topological, logical and functional features of spatial data. In addition, it considers the interaction between objects of the same thematic that by their representation are stored in different layers and takes into account the possible relations between other thematic layers. This schema is proposed to obtain a consistent and efficient modification in scale for certain study cases. A comparative analysis of the results is presented as well.]]></p></abstract>
