<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1405-27682025000200291&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1405-27682025000200291&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1405-27682025000200291&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  El objetivo fue identificar especies de Meloidogyne asociadas a hortalizas del Valle de Tepeaca, Puebla, utilizando la técnica de fenotipos isoenzimáticos de esterasa (EST) y malato deshidrogenasa (MDH), conjuntamente, con la técnica morfológica descriptiva del patrón perineal de hembras. Durante 2018-2019 se muestrearon suelo y raíces de hortalizas con agallas de campos sembrados con zanahoria, cilantro, betabel y calabaza. De cada una de las raíces de estos cultivos se obtuvieron 40 hembras, a las que se extrajeron proteínas por disgregación mecánica, luego se separaron por electroforesis en geles de poliacrilamida. Posteriormente las isoenzimas se revelaron para conocer la movilidad relativa (Rm); por otro parte, con la cutícula de las hembras se realizaron cortes con lo que se analizó la morfología de los patrones perineales para corroborar la identificación conjuntamente. Los resultados mostraron que en los cultivos muestreados se encontraron los fenotipos isoenzimáticos de EST: A1, A2a, A3, VSF-S1, H1, I1, J2a y M2, mientras que para MDH se obtuvieron los fenotipos: N1, N1a, N1e y N2a; asociados a las especies: M. incognita, M. arenaria, M. javanica, M. hapla, M. chitwoodi, y M. enterolobii; también se encontraron los fenotipos G1, G1-VF1 para EST y N1d para MDH los que no pudieron asociarse a alguna especie conocida. Los patrones perineales mostraron concordancia con los resultados obtenidos por los fenotipos isoenzimáticos. Resulta relevante el hallazgo de M. javanica, M. chitwoodi y M. enterolobii en la zona de estudio, ya que constituyen nuevos registros para la zona de estudio, y por ello deben tomarse las medidas necesarias para evitar su dispersión.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective was to identify Meloidogyne species associated with vegetables from the Tepeaca Valley, Puebla, using the isozyme phenotypes esterase (EST) and malate dehydrogenase (MDH), together with the morphological technique descriptive of the perineal pattern of females. During 2018-2019, soil and roots with vegetable galls were sampled from fields planted with carrots, coriander, beets and pumpkin. From each of the roots of these cultures, 40 females were obtained from which proteins were extracted by mechanical disintegration, then separated by electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gels. Subsequently, the isoenzymes were revealed to know the relative mobility (Rm); On the other hand, cuts were made with the cuticle of the females to analyze the morphology of the perineal patterns to corroborate the joint identification. The results showed that in the sampled cultures the isoenzymatic phenotypes of EST were found, A1, A2a, A3, VSF-S1, H1, I1, J2a and M2, while for MDH the phenotypes were obtained: N1, N1a, N1e and N2a; associated with the species: M. incógnita, M. arenaria, M. javanica, M. hapla, M. chitwoodi, and M. enterolobii. The phenotypes G1, G1-VF1 for EST and N1d for MDH were also found, which could not be associated with any known species. The perineal patterns showed agreement with the results obtained by the isoenzymatic phenotypes. The discovery of M. javanica, M. chitwoodi and M. enterolobii in the study area is relevant, since they constitute new records, and therefore the necessary measures must be taken to prevent their dispersion.]]></p></abstract>
