<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1026-87742019000200207&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1026-87742019000200207&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1026-87742019000200207&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Un análisis sedimentológico e icnológico realizado en los miembros Tierras Blancas y Rancho Viejo de la Formación Concepción del Oro (Turoniano-Campaniano temprano), en la región de Concepción del Oro, Zacatecas, permite documentar las características sedimentológicas, la evolución sedimentaria y su relación con el cinturón orogénico. El Miembro Tierras Blancas (Turoniano-Conianciano temprano) está conformado por sucesiones de líneas de costa deltaicas (e.g., frentes deltaicos influenciados/dominados por ríos o por oleaje/tormentas), con ensambles icnofaunísticos correspondientes a las icnofacies de Skolithos y Cruziana e Índice de Bioturbación (IB) variable (IB 0 - 4), representados por trazas de organismos que se alimentan de material en suspensión y del sustrato, con trazas pequeñas a moderadas, controladas por las condiciones de salinidad, oxigenación, aporte de nutrientes y energía del ambiente sedimentario. El Miembro Rancho Viejo (Coniaciano tardío-Campaniano temprano) consiste de canales submarinos de tipo mixto, canal submarino de depósito, desborde de canal o canal abandonado, transición lóbulo-canal, lóbulo de depósito, y depósitos de complejos de transporte de masas (CTM) del tipo II, caracterizados por icnogéneros de las icnofacies de Cruziana en su expresión distal, Zoophycus y Nereites, con IB variable entre ausente y abundante (IB 0 - 5), caracterizado por trazas de organismos con tamaños moderados a grandes que se alimentan de material en suspensión, los cuales combinan las actividades de alimentación y generación de vivienda. Los vectores promedio de paleocorrientes en estructuras relacionadas con procesos de oleaje sugieren una línea de costa deltaica con una dirección casi SE 20°-NW 20°, mientras que las estructuras unidireccionales asociadas con el transporte de sedimentos indican que la progradación del sistema deltaico fue preferentemente hacia el NE20°, perpendicular al cinturón orogénico. Las direcciones documentadas en surcos de erosión y estructuras de arrastre de partículas en los sistemas profundos (Miembro Rancho Viejo) determinan una dirección preferente hacia el SE45° y SW30°, indicando que el transporte de los sedimentos fue perpendicular y axial al cinturón orogénico.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT A sedimentological and ichnological analysis carried out in the members Tierras Blancas and Rancho Viejo of the Concepción del Oro Formation (Turonian-Early Campanian), in the region of Concepción del Oro, Zacatecas, allows documenting the sedimentological characteristics, the sedimentary evolution, and its relationship with the orogenic belt. The Tierras Blancas Member (Turonian- Early Coniacian) is made up of successions of deltaic coastlines (i.e., delta fronts influenced/dominated by rivers or by waves/storms), with ichnofaunistic assemblages corresponding to the Skolithos and Cruziana ichnofacies, and a variable Bioturbation Index (BI: 0 - 4), represented by traces of organisms that feed on material in suspension and substrate, with small to moderate traces, controlled by the conditions of salinity, oxygenation, nutrient supply and energy from the sedimentary environment. The Rancho Viejo Member (Late Coniacian-Early Campanian) consists of mixed-type underwater channels, depositional-type submarine channel, channel overflow or abandoned canal, lobe-channel transition, depositional lobe, and mass transport complex (MTC) deposits of type II, characterized by ichnogeneous of the Cruziana icnofacies in its distal variation, Zoophycus and Nereites, with a BI variable between absent and abundant (IB 0 - 5), characterized by traces of organisms of moderate to large sizes that feed on suspended material, which combine the activities of feeding and dwelling. The average paleocurrent vectors in structures related to wave processes suggest a deltaic coastline with a strike almost SE 20°-NW 20°, while the unidirectional structures associated with sediment transport indicate that the deltaic system progradation was preferably toward the NE20°, perpendicular to the orogenic belt. The orientation documented in flute and tool marks structures in the deep systems (Rancho Viejo Member) determine a preferential strike toward the SE45° and SW30°, indicating that the transport of the sediments was perpendicular and axial to the orogenic belt.]]></p></abstract>
