<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0300-90412024001000415&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0300-90412024001000415&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0300-90412024001000415&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  OBJETIVO:  Determinar si la longitud cervical, medida por ultrasonido endovaginal en el tercer trimestre de la gestación permite estimar el tiempo para el inicio del trabajo de parto en pacientes con cesárea previa y feto único, con el propósito de favorecer el nacimiento por parto y evaluar las diferencias de las mediciones en los distintos trimestres del embarazo.  MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS:  Estudio prospectivo, de cohortes, observacional, longitudinal y analítico efectuado en pacientes embarazadas con cesárea previa atendidas entre enero del 2022 y diciembre del 2023 en el Hospital Central Sur de Alta Especialidad de PEMEX, Ciudad de México. Todas las pacientes tuvieron mediciones de la longitud cervical en dos ocasiones, como mínimo.  RESULTADOS:  Se incluyeron 38 pacientes con media de edad de 33.3 años (DE ± 4.767), promedio de IMC de 27.57 (DE ± 3.718). El promedio de la primera medición de la longitud cervical fue a las 16.7 (DE 4.993) semanas, el de la segunda a las 29.64 (DE ± 6.160) y el promedio de la tercera medición fue a las 37.38 (DE 1.045) semanas de gestación. El promedio de tiempo a la finalización del embarazo fue de 7.27 días (DE ± 4.094) y la media de las semanas a la finalización del embarazo fue de 38.47 (DE ± 0.878). La medición de la longitud cervical de 28 mm tuvo 77% de sensibilidad para inicio del trabajo de parto a site días.  CONCLUSIONES:  Una longitud del cuello uterino medido por ultrasonido endovaginal menor de 28 mm tiene mayor probabilidad de iniciar trabajo de parto en siete días.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  OBJECTIVE:  To determine whether cervical length, measured by endovaginal ultrasound in the third trimester of pregnancy, allows estimation of the time to onset of labor in patients with previous cesarean section and singleton fetuses, with the aim of favoring birth by delivery, and to evaluate the differences in measurements in the different trimesters of pregnancy.  MATERIALS AND METHODS:  Prospective, cohort, observational, longitudinal and analytical study carried out in pregnant patients with a history of previous cesarean section attended between January 2022 and December 2023 at the Hospital Central Sur de Alta Especialidad de PEMEX, from January 2022 to December 2023. All patients had at least two cervical length measurements.  RESULTS:  Thirty-eight patients were included with a mean age of 33.3 years (SD ± 4.767), mean BMI of 27.57 (SD ± 3.718). Mean first cervical length measurement was 16.7 (SD ± 4.993) weeks, mean second measurement was 29.64 (SD ± 6.160) weeks, and mean third measurement was 37.38 (SD ± 1.045) weeks gestation. The mean time to delivery was 7.27 days (SD ± 4.094) and the mean weeks to delivery was 38.47 (SD ± 0.878). The cervical length measurement of 28 mm had a sensitivity of 77% for predicting the onset of labor on site days.  CONCLUSIONS:  A cervical length measured by endovaginal ultrasound of less than 28 mm is more likely to indicate onset of labor within seven days.]]></p></abstract>
