Se estableció una sola localidad en cada lago y se realizaron muestreos mensuales de noviembre 2014 a mayo 2015. La comunidad zooplanctónica estuvo constituida por 16 especies (12 rotíferos, dos copépodos y dos cladóceros): el lago JB registró solamente 10 especies y el lago PAS 11 especies, con siete especies comunes para ambos lagos. El análisis de redundancia (RDA) en JB pondera al zooplancton con el pH y la alcalinidad, mientras que en el lago PAS se relaciona el zooplancton con la temperatura del agua, oxígeno disuelto, transparencia y pH en la temporada de estiaje frío. La estructura de la comunidad se pudiera utilizar como bioindicador de la evaluación de la calidad del agua, mientras que sus cambios a largo plazo deben ser monitoreados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present study was carried out in two lakes of ecotourism importance, the Lake Borda Garden (JB) and the Lake Alameda Solidaridad Park (PAS), in the municipality of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. A single location was established in each lake, and samples were taken monthly from November 2014 to May 2015. The zooplankton community consisted of 16 species (12 rotifers, two copepods and two cladocerans): Lake JB recorded only ten species and Lake PAS 11 species, with both lakes sharing seven species. Redundancy analysis (RDA) in JB lake weights zooplankton with pH and alkalinity, whereas in PAS lake zooplankton was related to water temperature, dissolved oxygen, transparency, and pH in the cold dry season. The community structure could be used as a bioindicator of water quality assessment, while its long-term changes must be monitored.]]></p></abstract>
