<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0188-62662019000100171&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0188-62662019000100171&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0188-62662019000100171&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar los coeficientes osmóticos de 30 muestras de suelos y aguas de riego de la costa de Oaxaca, en los que interactúan los parámetros conductividad eléctrica (CE), sólidos totales disueltos (STD) y potencial osmótico (&#968;&#960;), considerados en el modelo &#936;&#960; = K3 x STD, obtenido de la literatura y requerido para simular tendencias osmóticas o tóxicas de las sales en la relación agua-suelo-planta. Su aplicación puede auxiliar en la prevención de daños a cultivos por salinidad. En laboratorio, se llevaron a cabo análisis fisicoquímicos de suelos y aguas; en gabinete, se elaboraron ecuaciones predictivas. Los &#936;&#960; obtenidos son próximos a los del coeficiente teórico -0.036 x CE (dS m-1) del Laboratorio de Salinidad de los Estados Unidos de América. Ambos métodos presentan alta correlación (r = 0.99). Los &#1136;&#960; evaluados son propios de una salinidad clorhídrica de intenso efecto osmótico. Las ecuaciones del modelo propuesto predicen con buena aproximación el fenómeno osmótico salino.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of this study was to evaluate the osmotic coefficients of fifteen samples of soils and fifteen irrigation waters of the coast of Oaxaca, in which the parameters electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (STD) and osmotic potential (&#968;&#960;) interact with the model &#936;&#960; = K3 x TDS, obtained from the literature and required to simulate osmotic or toxic salt trends in the water-soil-plant relationship. Its application can aid in the prevention of damage of crops by salinity. In laboratory, physical-chemical analysis of soils and waters were performed; in cabinet, predictive equations were done. The &#936;&#960; obtained are close to those of the theoretical coefficient -0.036 x CE (dS m-1) of the Salinity Laboratory of the United States of America. Both methods present a high correlation (r = 0.99). The &#1136;&#960; evaluated are produced by a hydrochloric salinity with an intense osmotic effect. The equations of the proposed model predict well the saline osmotic phenomenon.]]></p></abstract>
