El objetivo fue verificar el proceso de fitomineralización con Phragmites como cierre ecológico del tratamiento de aguas residuales. Se eligieron cuatro plantas de tratamiento (La Fontina, El Oratoio, Colle di Compito y El Pittini) en Pisa, Italia. Se realizaron muestreos de mayo a noviembre. Se verificó el curso de la preparación de los sistemas y los procesos de percolación, mineralización y humificación del material orgánico. En laboratorio se realizaron análisis específicos. Los resultados de mineralización indican que el contenido de carbono orgánico, nitrógeno total y materia orgánica decrece en cada muestreo de 47% a 32%, y el contenido de carbono húmico disminuye significativamente (p &lt; 0.05). El producto que se obtiene es prehumificado, apto para ser sometido a un proceso de compostaje, y posteriormente utilizarse como fertilizante.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: In treatment of wastewater produced as known sediment sludge that could be used in agriculture. The objective was to verify phytomineralization process with Phragmites closure and ecological wastewater treatment. Four treatment plants (La Fontina, El Oratoio, Colle di Compito and El Pittini) were chosen in Pisa, Italy. Samplings were conducted May to November. During preparation of systems and processes percolation, mineralization and humification of organic material was observed. Specific laboratory analyzes were performed. Results indicate that mineralization of organic carbon content, total nitrogen, and organic matter in each sample decreases from 47% to 32% and carbon content of humic significantly decreased (p &lt; 0.05). The product obtained is pre-humidified, suitable to be subjected to a composting process and subsequently used as fertilizer.]]></p></abstract>
