Una brecha actual en la investigación orientada a la evaluación de emisiones móviles en México es la falta de ciclos de conducción representativos del transporte de carga. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación fue desarrollar un ciclo de conducción para vehículos ligeros de carga y compararlo con ciclos internacionales de referencia. La técnica de persecución de vehículo fue usada para recolectar datos de velocidad y posicionamiento geográfico a través de 37 recorridos dentro de la zona de monumentos históricos de Querétaro. Una metodología que combina análisis de componentes principales, conglomerados por el método de k-medias y el modelo de la cadena de Markov, fue utilizada para la construcción de los ciclos candidatos. Los resultados muestran que, en comparación con el ciclo obtenido, los ciclos de conducción de referencia internacionales aplicados en México, subestiman contaminantes como NOx y CO por más del 22 y 48 %, para el Nuevo Ciclo Europeo de Conducción y el Procedimiento de Ensayo Federal 75, respectivamente. Esto refleja que el proceso de construcción de ciclos de conducción debe considerar las diferentes clases vehiculares y sistemas de transporte, ya que cada uno tiene patrones únicos de manejo, lo cual da como resultado ciclos de conducción significativamente diferentes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Urban freight transport is a significant contributor to pollutant emissions in cities. A current gap in mobile emissions evaluation in Mexico is the lack of a representative driving cycles for freight vehicles. The aim of this study was to develop a driving cycle for light commercial vehicles and compare it with standard international cycles. The chase-car technique was used to collect real-world driving data along 37 trips within the historic monuments zone of Querétaro. A methodology combining principal components analysis, k-mean clustering and the Markov chain model was applied to the construction of the driving cycles&#8217; candidates. Results show that, compared with the obtained cycle, the international reference drive cycles applied in Mexico underestimate vehicular emissions as NOx and CO by about the 22 and 48 %, for the New European Driving Cycle and the Federal Test Procedure 75, respectively. This reflects that the drive cycle construction process must take into consideration the different vehicular classes and transport systems, since all of them have unique driving patterns that make every cycle significantly different from each other.]]></p></abstract>
