<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0188-49992017000400629&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0188-49992017000400629&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0188-49992017000400629&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar los cambios luego de 120 días en el contenido de hidrocarburos de petróleo y en la actividad de las comunidades microbianas de un suelo contaminado al 9 % (m/m) con un crudo de 24.3 º de acuerdo con la clasificación del American Petroleum Institute (API). Se establecieron tres tratamientos: a) suelo fertilizado (F: suelo contaminado y con fertilización orgánica e inorgánica), suelo no fertilizado (SF: suelo contaminado sin fertilización) y testigo abiótico (TA: suelo contaminado, fertilizado y esterilizado). Se determinó el contenido de aceites y grasas, los biomarcadores pristano y fitano y sus relaciones con los hidrocarburos de 17 y 18 átomos de carbono para identificar procesos de biodegradación, la respiración basal y el uso de sustratos orgánicos específicos por los microorganismos. Se encontró que la disminución en el contenido de aceites y grasas siguió el orden F &gt; SF &gt; TA. Los análisis de biomarcadores indicaron que la transformación del petróleo en el tratamiento fertilizado fue mayor respecto a los otros tratamientos evaluados. También se encontraron diferencias en los patrones de utilización de sustratos por los microorganismos en los tratamientos fertilizado y no fertilizado, con una disminución de la diversidad funcional en el tratamiento sin fertilización. Se concluye que la estructura funcional de la comunidad microbiana del suelo fertilizado al ser más estable, fue más eficiente degradando el crudo contaminante.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to assess the changes after 120 days in the petroleum hydrocarbon content and the activity of microbial communities in a contaminated soil (9 % w/w) with oil crude of 24.3 º according to the classification of the American Petroleum Institute (API). Three treatments were established: a) fertilized soil (F: contaminated soil with organic and inorganic fertilization), unfertilized soil (SF: contaminated soil without fertilization) and abiotic control (TA: contaminated soil fertilized and sterilized). The content of oils and greases, the pristane and phytane biomarkers and their relationships with hydrocarbons of 17 and 18 carbon atoms to identify biodegradation processes, basal respiration and use of specific organic substrates by microorganisms were determined. We found that the decrease in the content of oils and greases followed the order F &gt; SF &gt; TA. The biomarker analysis indicated that the conversion of petroleum in the fertilized treatment was higher compared to the other treatments evaluated. Differences in patterns of substrate utilization by microorganisms in treatments fertilized and unfertilized were also found with a decreased in functional diversity in treatment without fertilizer. We conclude that the functional structure of the microbial community was more stable in fertilized soil, and consequently more efficient degrading the oil crude contaminant.]]></p></abstract>
