Estas unidades davem se basear em aspectos geomorfoiógicos, de vegetação e de uso e ocupação. Dos dados orbitais são extraídas frtofisionomias e uso e ocupação, dos mapas se obtém topografia e hidrografia, e do modelo digital do terreno se calcula hipsometria e declividade. Sobrepondo-se frtoflsionomias com geomorfologia obtem-se unidades de paisagem, as quais, sobrepostas com classes de declividade resulta em níveis de fragilidade. O mapa de zoneamento resulta da combinação da fragilidade, objetivos e necessidades de preservação. Modelo diagnóstico usando SIG e sensoriamento remoto orbital, mostrou excelente desempenho em indicar zonas adequadas para a zoneamento ecológico.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Since the 80's, the use of satellite remote sensing and GIS have became progressively helpful, when users decide to start looking for homogeneous landscape units to establish the ecological zoning. Those landscape units should be based on geomorphologie, vegetation, and land use aspects. From satellite data one can extract phytophysiognomies and land use, from maps, one can generate hydrography and topography, and from digital terrain models one can obtain hypsometry and slope classes. Overlaying phytophysiognomies with geomorphology one can obtain landscape units, which, overlaid with slope classes, can generate fragility levels. The zoning map results from the combination of the fragilities, objectives and requirements to preserve the area, Predictive models using GIS and satellite data showed an excellent performance for the definition of ecological zoning.]]></p></abstract>

Estas unidades davem se basear em aspectos geomorfoi&oacute;gicos, de vegeta&ccedil;&atilde;o e de uso e ocupa&ccedil;&atilde;o. Dos dados orbitais s&atilde;o extra&iacute;das frtofisionomias e uso e ocupa&ccedil;&atilde;o, dos mapas se obt&eacute;m topografia e hidrografia, e do modelo digital do terreno se calcula hipsometria e declividade.
