El objetivo es analizar las relaciones parasociales establecidas entre la audiencia y las protagonistas. Los resultados muestran que el comportamiento y la personalidad se mencionan de manera recurrente, aunque de una forma simple. La empatía se refleja en la justificación de estos comportamientos. Otra conclusión está relacionada con la escasa retroalimentación manifestada en Facebook, ya que solo el 6.6 % de los comentarios de las publicaciones mencionan a las protagonistas. En general, los comentarios son más negativos que positivos, criticando la apariencia o acento de Nicole o las conductas de Stephanie, lo cual expone una forma de relación parasocial poco amigable de parte de los seguidores.]]></p></abstract>

<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This study examined 4 883 Facebook comments on the female protagonists from the Cartel Crew series. The objective is to analyze the parasocial relationships established between the audience and the protagonists. The results revealed that behavior and personality were more frequently mentioned, with simple comments and parasocial relationships being more prevalent. Empathy was reflected in the justification of the characters&#8217; behaviors. Another key finding was the limited feedback on the Facebook page, as only 6.6 % of the comments mentioned the characters. Overall, comments were more negative than positive toward the protagonists, criticizing Nicole&#8217;s appearance or accent, as well as Stephanie&#8217;s behavior, indicating an unfriendly parasocial relationship from the followers.]]></p></abstract>
