A partir del análisis de las producciones más destacadas de los cuatro países más prolíficos de Sudamérica, el texto reseña las características de un formato cada vez más dinámico en una región que va camino a completar la transición hacia la televisión digital terrestre.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This paper explores the commonalities and differences of the narrative of web-based series in relation to television practices. By analyzing the most notable productions in the four most prolific countries in South America, this paper reviews the characteristics of an increasingly dynamic format in a region that is on its way to completing the transition to digital terrestrial television.]]></p></abstract>
