<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0187-57792014000100047&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0187-57792014000100047&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0187-57792014000100047&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Se analizó la vulnerabilidad hidroedafoclimática de tres regiones agrícolas semiáridas de Baja California Sur (B.C.S.), el Valle de Santo Domingo (VSD), Valle del Vizacaíno Guerrero Negro (VVGN) y la Cuenca Agrícola de La Paz (CALAP), a partir de indicadores de aptitud de los factores clima (FC), agua (FA) y suelo (FS). Para La Paz, B.C.S., la información se obtuvo a través del estudio climático, análisis fisicoquímico de suelos y análisis químico del agua de riego en cinco localidades seleccionadas. Para el VVGN y el VSD, como localidades de referencia, se utilizaron parámetros indicadores en fuentes disponibles y publicaciones para la valoración del estado actual de dichos factores. Se seleccionaron 22 indicadores; cinco correspondieron al FC, siete al FA y diez al FS. Para el FC, solamente dos indicadores alcanzaron puntuación favorable por lo que dicho factor resultó deficiente en las tres regiones analizadas. El FA alcanzó la condición de aceptable en las tres zonas, sin embargo, sus valores se observaron en el límite de esta condición. El suelo en el VSD fue calificado como aceptable mientras que en el VVGN y CALAP se evaluaron como deficientes. Según los umbrales de vulnerabilidad propuestos, se pudo inferir que la región con mayor vulnerabilidad a efectos adversos del clima y a procesos de degradación del suelo y el agua es la CALAP, cuyos indicadores principales se consideran en la categoría "altamente vulnerable"; el VVGN alcanzó asimismo dicha categoría mientras que el VSD se calificó como región agrícola "vulnerable" a los factores analizados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Water-soil-climate vulnerability of three agricultural regions of Baja California Sur (BCS) was analyzed: Valle de Santo Domingo (VSD), Valle del Vizcaíno Guerrero Negro (VVGN), and the Agricultural Watershed of La Paz (CALAP, acronyms for their names in Spanish) using aptitude markers of climate (FC), water (FA), and soil (FS) factors. In La Paz, BCS, data was obtained through climate study, physicochemical soil analyses, and chemical analyses of irrigation water in five selected sites. For VVGN and VSD, as the reference sites, parameter indicators from available sources and publications were used to assess the current state of these factors. Of the 22 markers selected, five corresponded to FC, seven to FA, and ten to FS. For FC, only two indicators reached a favorable score, and thus this factor was considered deficient in the three regions analyzed. FA reached the acceptable condition in the three zones; however, values were borderline. Soil in VSD was graded acceptable, whereas in VVGN and CALAP it was assessed as inadequate. According to the vulnerability threshold, we can infer that CALAP is the region that is most vulnerable to adverse climate and to soil and water degradation processes. The essential markers place the area in the "highly vulnerable" category while VSD was graded as an agricultural region "vulnerable" to the analyzed factors.]]></p></abstract>
