Para ello se hicieron 84 series de análisis foliares cuyos resultados se interpretaron bajo el Sistema Integrado de Diagnóstico y Recomendación (DRIS), el método de Desviación del Óptimo Porcentual (DOP) y el método convencional o de Rangos de Suficiencia (RS). Las muestras foliares para el estudio se colectaron bajo criterios preestablecidos, en plantaciones de naranja cv. Valencia en etapa productiva, establecidas en suelos Acrisoles de la sabana de Huimanguillo, Tabasco. Cada muestra compuesta constó de 80 hojas sanas en las que se determinó la concentración de N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn y B. Los resultados de este estudio muestran que el método DOP detectó mayor número de nutrimentos con nivel de deficiencia, en comparación con los otros dos métodos probados. El método DRIS detectó excesos de Fe, N y B, pero estos elementos fueron subestimados por el método DOP, que los clasifica como deficientes. Los tres métodos de interpretación coinciden en que el Mg es deficiente en las plantaciones estudiadas. Se concluye que para interpretar los diagnósticos nutrimentales en naranja Valencia cultivada en suelos Acrisoles es recomendable emplear al menos dos métodos para obtener un diagnóstico confiable.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This study was conducted in Tabasco, Mexico, to compare accuracy, versatility and reliability of three methods of interpreting nutritional analysis for orange. The results of eighty-four sets of leaf analyses were interpreted under the Diagnostic and Recommendation Integrated System (DRIS), Deviation Optimum Percentage (DOP) and the conventional method or Sufficiency Ranges (RS) methods. Leaf samples for this study were collected under fixed criteria in cv. Valencia orange plantations, grown in Acrisols in the savanna of Huimanguillo, Tabasco. Each compound sample consisted of 80 healthy leaves, with which we determined concentration of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn and B. The results of this study indicate that the DOP method detected the highest number of nutrients present at levels of deficiency. The DRIS method detected excess Fe, N and B, but the method DOP underestimated these elements, classifying them as deficient. The three methods of interpretation coincided in detecting deficient Mg in the plantations studied. It is concluded that interpreting nutritional diagnosis in Valencia oranges grown in Acrisol soils, at least two methods must be employed to obtain a reliable diagnosis.]]></p></abstract>
