Sin embargo, el acolchado plástico, en la superficie del suelo, afecta todos los componentes del balance de energía (radiación neta, Rn; flujo de calor sensible, H; flujo de calor latente, LE y flujo de calor en el suelo, G). En este estudio se midieron los componentes del balance de energía a través de las diferentes etapas de crecimiento del cultivo de chile morrón y se evaluó la distribución de energía diaria y a través de las etapas de desarrollo del cultivo. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que la Rn fue el componente dominante y que durante la etapa inicial de crecimiento, la mayor parte de la Rn se disipó como H, esto debido a que el cultivo cubrió solo una pequeña parte de la cama. Cuando el cultivo alcanzó su máximo desarrollo foliar, la Rn se escapó principalmente como LE. Durante la senescencia la mayor parte de la Rn se transformó en H y en menor proporción en G seguido de LE.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Previous studies have been conducted to evaluate the effect of plastic mulch on the upper soil profile and its relation to the growth and yield of crops. However, the plastic mulch on the soil surface affects all components of the energy balance (net radiation, Rn; sensible heat flux, H; latent heat flux, LE; and soil heat flux, G). In this study, the energy balance components through the different growth stages of the bell pepper crop were measured and the daily and seasonal partitioning of the energy balance was evaluated. The results showed that Rn was the major term of the energy component and during the early stage of growth most of Rn was dissipated in sensible H, due crop covered only a small part of the bed. Once the crop reached the highest foliage growth, Rn was escaped mainly in LE. During senescence, most Rn was transformed in H and in a lower rate in G, followed by LE.]]></p></abstract>
